Welcome to the site of the Hobart Model Aero Club. The club is devoted to the hobby and sport of model aircraft construction and flight. Members have a broad range of interests that includes Sport, Pattern, Pylon, Old Timers, Scale, Electric, Jets, and Gliders. Although most members fly radio control aircraft we also have a strong following of control line flyers.  

We have a membership of about 80, with a wealth of knowledge and experience which members are only too happy to pass on to the newcomer. Club members can provide advice and guidance on construction of models, preparation for flight and flight instruction. The club has excellent training facilities, including trainer aircraft so there's no risk of damaging your own, and with the expert tuition our instructors provide it's never been easier to learn to fly. 

We are located near Richmond, 20km north east of Hobart and members of the public are welcome at all times. The most popular flying times are Saturday and Sunday mornings. There is also mid week flying for those that can. We're a friendly group, so why not come for a visit.
