About Us…..

Welcome to the site of the Hobart Model Aero Club (HMAC).

The club is associated with the Tasmanian Model Aeronautical Association Inc. and the Model Aeronautical Association of Australia. 

The club is devoted to the hobby and sport of model aircraft construction and flight. Members have a broad range of interests that includes Sport, Pattern, Pylon, Old Timers, Scale, Electric, Jets, Gliders, Drones and FPV.

Although most members fly radio control aircraft we also have a strong following of control line flyers.

We’re located near Richmond, 20km north east of Hobart and members of the public are welcome at all times. The most popular flying times are Saturday and Sunday mornings. There is also mid week flying for those that can. We’re a friendly group, so why not come for a visit.
